We’re excited to announce a new article by Hyla Cass, MD on Energy Psychology just published on the Huffington Post blog

Great article showing the new research on Energy Psychology as well as some of the resistance of societal acceptance to this healing method.

Letting in the Light

In world which promises us instant satisfaction and immediate gratification it is important for us to understand that all of our emotions need a place at the table.  There comes a time when we must find a way to acknowledge and honor the past so that we can release it and move into the present.  I hope you enjoy the following quote from Ode Magazine.

“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light,” said Carl Jung, “but by making the darkness conscious.” Originator of the psychological concept of the shadow—the unwelcome parts of ourselves that we hide from conscious awareness—Jung cleverly added, “This procedure, however, is disagreeable and therefore not very popular.”

Part of the wisdom of this article discusses feeling what we call the “negative” emotions so that they can be healed.  Advanced Integrative Therapy is a great method that can be used to further explore and heal past trauma.

The Case for Energy Psychology

Reading David Feinstein’s article in the “Psychotherapy Networker”, Nov-Dec 2010 is a great introduction to how Energy Psychology works with trauma, and it cites the evidence with research.   Here is the link:

Amazing training on Advanced Integrative Therapy

We have just completed an amazing training on Advanced Integrative Therapy with therapists. It was inspiring to be in their presence, to witness their ability to learn the tools to help heal their clients, and to be part of such a profound healing experience. We hope you will join us next year.
